posted by eniginenigin in enigin

In the last of this series we present the last three sins in Geoffrey James’ excellent article for Bnet.com titled “The 7 Deadly Sins of Successful Sales Teams” - which is useful for everyone connected with Enigin, customers and clients using Enigin products, Enigin Partners and Enigin Distributors, plus Enigin staff.

Here are Sins 5, 6 and 7.

When Winter Bites

posted by enigin in enigin

In northern climes many areas are being hit by an early winter blast - it maybe early but it is winter and yet it can cause so much chaos.

Even in the mild climate, normally, of south west England, where winters are expected to be wet rather than cold, we have been affected.

Team Work on Display

Enigin are very much a global collaboration between like minded people.

Ian Wrigley, Enigin PLC’s MD, has over 30 years experience in the energy saving business, starting at a time when your carbon footprint meant little or nothing at all. His knowledge allied with the experience that other founding members have brought to the setting up of Enigin has produced something remarkable.

Team Apart

posted by eniginenigin in enigin, sport

When anyone talks about the “team” or “working as a team” - what picture do you get in your head?

A bunch of men and women gathered around a communal table dealing with a project, men or women in sports gear challenging each other to score a basket, a goal a run.

All well and good and what you would expect but a vision that is changing rapidly in certain aspects.

Mastering Sales Skills

Bt Steve Hill

At Enigin we pride ourselves on our sales skills and try to teach these to Enigin Distributors, at leats in part, when they come to Enigin HQ for commercial training, so I enjoyed reading a recent blog, made up of three posts, by Geoffrey James on bnet.com, all about sales skill entitled: “How to Master Any Sales Skill” - it is well worth sharing, here it is:

I’ve never explained exactly how to master a sales skill.

Fortunately, I recently had a discussion about this subject with Greg Wingard, the author of the very cool book Stick With It: How to Overcome the Obstacles that Keep You From Following Through.  This post describes his method in detail and explains exactly what you need to do in order to be learn and master any skill, sales or otherwise.

A Tight Team Is Vital

posted by enigin in Uncategorized

How vital it is we have a tight team at Enigin and good that we do.

Whatever industry you are in you need to work with a tight team - that is a team that work tightly together and not pulling against each other.

It is very easy within the work place to find team members working individually, either due to poor delegation or selfishness.

Consistency of Team Work for Success

posted by eniginenigin in sport

The football (soccer) season has started in Europe, and many other parts of the world. Hence team work is back on display on the field of play, bringing to mind the problems that can come about as a team tries to gel, to work together for success.

There are usually some surprising results in the first few weeks, as many of the “better” teams fall to defeat when expected to excel.

Although this can add excitement generally everyone realises that the better teams will come out on top over the season. Why do these “better” teams succeed? Th answer consistency.

Come Together - Right Now

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”

So said Henry Ford about team work, and he be described as successful in business!

At Enigin we realise the importance of team work, it is a vital element of our success as a quality energy saving business.

As a globally operating company we also realise the importance of teaming up with distributors - hence we have a close knit team at Enigin PLC head quarters and a looser team working towards success around the world.

We also encourage Enigin Distributors to build up their own close knit team - again this is a critical success factor for their own energy saving business.

The Far South West

posted by enigin in enigin

The Enigin team reside for the most part in the far south west of England, an area of rich nautical and industrial history.

The south west was often the first point of contact/return for overseas travellers heading east and the last point of contact/departure for those heading west across the Atlantic. Hence it is closely tied in with the discoveries and eventual colonisation of the much of the globe by the British.

Fantasy Football - It’s Easy from the Sidlelines

posted by eniginenigin in sport

By Steve Hill

THE World Cup has started in South Africa and Enigin’s Marketing Director Troy Wrigley emailed the Enigin team inviting all to compete in a Fantasy League - you know what I mean, a Fantasy Sport Competition where you choose your players and they get points for various things they do through the season or competition.

I mention this on the Sunday afternoon while a World Cup match is being played because I currently lead the table with my wise and astute choices! That will soon change but we are doing it for a bit of fun. Choosing a team name and the players made me think about Enigin Partners and their venturing into an energy saving business.

With Fantasy Leagues it is all fantasy, there is skill in picking the right players and then changing them atr the right time depending on who is on form etc. and like all such sport games it is easier than the reality.
